Crumbs: For Writers, Singles and Anyone Open to Surprises

“A writer is someone who can make a riddle out of an answer.” Karl Kraus (Austrian Journalist, Critic, Playwright and Poet, 1874-1936

Hmmm. I wonder. Does this mean I’m a writer? 🙂

And yet, I quote Ralph Waldo Emerson: “Why need I volumes, if one word suffice?”

“The Oxford English Dictionary lists over 250,000 distinct words, not including many technical or slang terms, making English one of the richest languages (if not the richest) in terms of vocabulary.” Kevin Martinez List Verse

“Serendipity. Look for something, find something else, and realize that what you’ve found is more suited to your needs than what you thought you were looking for.” Lawrence Block

Here’s something just for singles:

“God’s surprises are so unexpected they’ll take your breath away. Without a doubt, God’s surprises are one of the best parts of being a Christian. And for us singles, they’re a touching reminder that he hasn’t forgotten us.

Just when we’re feeling downcast and alone, one comes along.

As usual, God’s timing is perfect. He knows exactly when to give us a booster shot of his love and care.  www.inspiration-for-singles.com.

“To try and discover what it means to be blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ is not something you learn from a quick glance or from listening to someone recite a verse or two. To truly discover the magnitude to which we have been blessed by God takes time, it takes extended periods of quiet, prayer, and reflection.”  Mike Hays

“You don’t look for serendipity, it finds you.” GrahamJ

“It may be little, it may be big, but surprises happen when you least expect it. Take what life gives you . . . delight in it and enjoy it.” L. R. Haakeat

“As your faith is strengthened you will find that there is no longer the need to have a sense of control, that things will flow as they will, and that you will flow with them, to your great delight and benefit.”  Emmanuel Tene

“Take a good look at God’s wonders—they’ll take your breath away.” Psalm 66:5a The Message

  1. I love your Wednesday posts! Such great scriptures and quotes, and I’m still loving serendipity. Can that be my favorite word to? It starts with an “S” for Susan!
    Hokie hugs to you 🙂
