“Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all” Aristotle

Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important.
C. S. Lewis

A teacher who is attempting to teach without inspiring the pupil with a desire to learn is hammering on cold iron.
Horace Mann

Do you really know Him?  If not, you can. Consider I Cor. 1:21 and put your faith in God. “For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.”

“You may be asking yourself: “How can I know God?” Man is able to know the true and living God through His Word (that is, the Bible). The Bible reveals God’s character and His plan for mankind. It is through reading His Word that we come to a knowledge of the righteousness of God and that which He requires of us.” Blue Letter Bible

We learn to know and trust God as we allow Him to reveal His character through His Word the better we know Him, the more we will trust Him, and the more we trust Him, the more secure we’ll be in His love. ELW

The same word for knowing God is used for knowing the scriptures (Mark 12:24), as well as the validity of God’s promises. (Romans 8:28.and I John 5:13)  ELW

“When we are talking about gazing upon the face of God, we are not talking about physically “seeing” Him. We are talking about looking at the glory of His attributes, His character, His nature.”  The Truth Project

God’s people confessed that they were only strangers on earth; and they desired a better, heavenly country.  Hebrews 11: 13-16

C. S. Lewis writes, “If you read history you will find that the Christians who did most for the present world were precisely those who thought most of the next. It is since Christians have largely ceased to think of the other world that they have become so ineffective in this.”

Aim at heaven and you will get earth thrown in. Aim at earth and you get neither.  C. S. Lewis

“My prayer is not for them (the disciples) alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me (us) through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” John 17:20-21
