Crumbs – Positive Faith Expects Miracles

“Come and see what God has done, how awesome his works are in man’s behalf . . . He rules forever by his power . . . .” Psalm 66:5&7a

You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples.             Psalm 77:14

But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth. Exodus 9:16

The Diversity of Jesus’ Miracles – ELW

Jesus’ miracles transcend nature, circumstances, science, and the minds of men. With God:

  • There is no limit on His power.   He raised Lazarus from the dead and conquered His own death.l

  • There are no boundaries in time and space.  Along with Moses and Elijah, He appeared before Peter, James and John in His glorified state.  Matthew 17:1-3

  • He is not deterrent by nature.  He calmed the storm.

  • He is not affected by circumstances. He turned water to wine.

  • With Him, there is no shortage of provisions.  He fed the 10,000.

  • He’s not controlled by physics.  He walked on water.

  • He isn’t limited to the science of reproduction.  He was born of a virgin.

  • *There is no condition on His love.   He redeemed you and me!

Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.                                       John 20:30-31

Since Jesus did all this and more to prove He is a loving, personal God of miracles, would He not be ready, willing, and able to do even more than we can imagine in order to use us to glorify Him and further His kingdom?  What better visible illustration is there for others to see in our day, than Jesus working His miracles in and through us?

A suggested prayer:

Father God, help me through the study of your Word to develop a quiet confidence that your miracles are meant for me personally.  Thank you for revealing to me the majesty of who you are.  I ask you now to do miraculous things in my heart and life.  As a result, grant me the privilege of proclaiming your Name in the unique way you’ve planned for me. Amen
