Crumbs – Positive Faith Leads to Powerful Results

Jesus explains to His disciples why they have no power. “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”                                                                                                                                                                                                             Matthew 17:20-21

“I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?” Jeremiah 32:27

How do we prepare ourselves to embrace positive faith?

  • Seek His face. Make it your #1 priority to develop an intimate relationship with Him. It takes time, commitment, and desire—but it is oh so worth it.
  • Search His Word. Pray, pray, pray and study, study, study to discover God’s will for your life.
  • Surrender everything. Give your all toward God’s purpose for you and His power in your life. This means obedience in every area, borne not of legalism but out of a joy-filled relationship with Him. Delight in Him and live moment by moment in the power of the Holy Spirit, keeping short accounts with God concerning your sins.
  • Stand in awe of God’s “yes.” Ps. 128:4 (The Message)
  • Act upon your faith. When God gives you marching orders, respond with positive faith that He will complete the work He has begun in you. (Philippians 1:6)  – AND THEN –
  • Hang in there!

Continue to believe until you see the fruit. If you have to wait until Heaven to get the results, then so be it. There is no better road to travel than the road of hope. And there is no better place than heaven to celebrate a life journey of positive faith and a job well done. ELW

“ . . . O great and powerful God, whose name is the Lord Almighty, great are your purposes and mighty are your deeds. . . .” Jeremiah 32:18c-19

“The purpose of life is a life of purpose.”  Robert Byrne

God doesn’t craft our life purpose to fit us. Instead, He fashions us to fit His purpose. (Ephesians 2:10) Who are we to say we’re inadequate or unwilling to respond to something God planned long before we were even born? God doesn’t want us to live in weakness, unbelief and frustration. He wants us to exercise positive faith that we can and will appropriate His power to accomplish the things He created us to do. ELW

In The Shack,          God speaks to Mack, who because of the pain in his life cannot feel loved. “Mack, pain has a way of clipping our wings and keeping us from being able to fly. . . And if left unresolved for very long, you can almost forget that you were ever created to fly in the first place.”

Unbelief and unresolved issues with God disable our positive faith and cause us to lose sight of the fact that God created us to “fly” in the first place.  ELW

Are you ready to fly?
